Mint Julips Lip Scrub / Burts Bees Almond Hand Cream / L'Occitane Hand Cream /

Burts Bees Beeswax Lipbalm / Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask

Today's post is a little insight into some products that I love to use before going to sleep each night. They are all collected in a little dish on my bedside table and I rotate between lipbalms and handcreams each evening. For a nourishing lip treatment before I go to sleep I opt for the gorgeously tasting Mint Julips Lip Scrub from LUSH (review here). I love using this when my lips feel super dry as it is brilliant in restoring moisture and making them feel smooth and supple. I couldn't recommend this product more and I will definitely continue to repurchase it - they also have other flavours too which sound just as lovely. For handcreams I alternate between the Burts Bees Almond Hand Cream which is absolutely lovely. The scent will not be to everyone's taste but I'm a sucker for anything almond and find it very therapeutic. The consistency of this hand cream is beautiful and I love the cute glass jar too - if you're a fan of hand creams then I recommend giving this one ago. If I am wanting a lighter hand cream before bed time then I tend to choose my L'Occitante Shea Butter Hand Cream although I got this a while ago it has lasted me a lifetime - it just never seems to finish! It's a really lovely hand cream and is light on the hands and leaves them super soft! If my lips aren't feeling too sore or dry then I will choose my Burts Bees Beeswax Lip Balm over the LUSH scrub. Again, this lip balm has an acquired taste but it's a bit minty which I love and you can feel it nourishing the lips. Finally a little gem I have recently discovered after reading all about it everywhere is the Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. I was hesitant to splurge £20 on an overnight mask as I am quite fussy with skincare however I went to the Origins counter and asked for a sample - which is this little pot. It's safe to say I'm a huge fan and it has really changed my skin. I pop it on before I go to sleep and wake up with my skin feeling awake and refreshed - I will definitely be purchasing the full size soon.

So there are a few of my staple products which I use before I go to sleep - they stay the same for a while but I do switch them up when products run out or if I'm giving new products a try. Do you have any cult products that you have to use before you go to sleep? Thanks for reading!

Review | Dr Jart+ Beauty Balm

Today I'm reviewing the Dr Jart+ Beauty Balm and how much I love it and it's changed the way I do my base for makeup. I bought this a month or so ago now as I was in need of something lightweight with a good SPF in for when I was away in Greece last week. I've heard a lot about this product and after trying a really awful Maybelline BB cream I thought I'd give this ago. At £18 I was expecting good things and this met all my expectations and more.

This Beauty Balm literally sinks into the skin no fuss, I use my fingers to apply it and it sinks in seamlessly. I was weary as the previous BB cream had been very orange and as it came in only one shade it was just too dark for my fair skin. Although this Dr Jart+ one also only comes in one shade it is an original Korean brand and has been designed for all skin types - it isn't too dark or orange for me and blends in a dream. This BB cream has encouraged me to start using mineral powder too - if you prefer a dewy look then this isn't necessary as this leaves your skin looking supple and evened out. You can buy this product from Boots and I honestly love this product even if I've had it for a few weeks and highly recommend it if you're looking for something more lightweight for summer (it also has a pretty good SPF of 25). Please let me know if you have tried this beauty balm or if you have another favourite? Thankyou for reading!

Review | Topshop Makeup

This post is pretty much going to be a rave on how much I love Topshop beauty products! I think Topshop are on form with the quality of their products and the price tags to match. Above are a couple of new products I bought the other week and yet again are most impressed with colour pay off, lasting time and just overall beautiful quality.

This is my second Topshop cream blush in the shade Afternoon Tea. I already have Head Over Heels which is a gorgeous peachy coral and when I saw this was the perfect everyday pink I knew I needed to have it. If you own a Topshop blush I'm sure you'll agree they are perfect to blend and look so pretty dotted on the cheeks. At £6 each I think that Topshop are well worth the money and are perfect for anyone who wants just a touch of colour to the cheeks!

This lipstick is in the shade Macaroon and it's my first Topshop lipstick ever! I must say I'm really really impressed - after reading a lot of reviews that they're quite drying I found a good lip balm before hand ensured this lasted a good couple of hours. I love this colour for Spring/Summer and am certain I'm going to get a lot of use from it! A bit more pricey at £8 the lipstick still seem worth the money and Topshop have produced a gorgeous colour range so check them out!
Please let me know your thoughts on Topshop makeup and any shades that you love as I'm definitely going to be trying more! Thanks for reading!

Review | LUSH Mint Julips

Today I'm going to be raving about the Mint Julips lip scrub from LUSH. I'd been eyeing up this products for months (literally since winter) as I love anything with a mint scent and really loved the idea of it exfoliating my lips. I've had this for a month or so now and I really wish that I had got it sooner, this lip scrub really does do what it says on the tin and smoothens your lips. The scent of this product is divine and it's so hard to resit eating it all up. I usually use this lip scrub before I go to sleep and then a bit in the morning if I'm applying a lipstick. For just over a fiver I think this product is absolutely brilliant and I will continue to repurchase it from now on. I believe their is also a popcorn and bubblegum flavour but this mint one will alwayss be a winner in my eyes! Please let me know if you're a fan of these lip scrubs and which scent you opt for? Thanks for reading!

Review | Maybelline Colour Tattoo

Permanent Taupe / On and on Bronze / Eternal Gold

If you have not heard of these little gems by now then you must have been hiding under a rock or something. These are famous in the blogging world and it's easy to see why. The Maybelline Colour Tattoos are similar to the MAC paint pots for almost a third of the price. At £4.99 these come in a range of colours from neutrals to brights and you just cannot fault them. I have these three shades and highly recommend them if you're a bit more of a neutral gal!

Permanent Taupe is a grey taupe that has a hint of purple iridescence to it, this is the most matte out of the three and feels the stiffest to apply. The colour lasts all day long and this looks incredible for smokey eye. The next shade I have is On and on Bronze - this is the one I have used the most as it's so easy to just wear on it's own with a bit of mascara. It's so effortless to apply and the shimmer is subtle on the eyelid. This is probably my favourite shade and can be built up to create a more dramatic look. Finally my latest addition to my collection is Eternal Gold - this shade I love for evenings and it creates a gorgeous gold smokey eye. This one seems the creamiest making it lovely to blend and like the others it lasts a long long time - which is great for nights out! Overall these get top ratings from me and I'd love to know if you've given these a go and which shade is your favourite? Thanks for reading!

All About | No7 Lip Products

If you're anything like me and you're a sucker for vouchers or coupons then watch this space. No7 in Boots seem to always be giving out vouchers for £5 off skincare and £3 off make-up. I always end up using them on stuff I don't really need but these little gems are definitely worth it. The two beauty balms are absolutely gorgeous - they're sheer but with a hint of colour and apply really well. The consistency is smooth but not too sticky and I'd say they're a bit of a rip off of the Clarins Instalight Perfector - but less than half the price!

The Protect & Perfect Lip Care is part of their skincare range so with £5 off you get a really nourishing lip treatment for about £4. I'd compare this to something like Blistex but you really feel this one work into your lips more and create a tingling sensation. I apply it before I go to bed and wake up in the morning without dry lips!

Overall I love No7 as a brand and think that they have some really good products! Have you tried any of these? What do you love from No7? Thanks for reading!
